ArmInfo. Prime Minister Pashinyan's dissatisfaction with Azerbaijan and Russia, expressed at the last government meeting in connection with the latest military provocations of Baku in Artsakh, I assess as meaningless. Political scientist Armen Baghdasaryan expressed a similar opinion to ArmInfo.
" Avoiding concreteness, from disclosing the essence and causes of what happened, which by the way led to the death of people, the prime minister once again limited himself to blaming Baku and Moscow for what was happening. Pashinyan limits himself to accusations of non-fulfillment of obligations against Baku and Moscow, which, in my opinion, is the final fact of the surrender of Artsakh by Yerevan. And in the event of a further increase in tension, the Armenian leadership, apparently, decided to limit its own functions in the Artsakh issue to the possibility of applying to international instances," he stressed.
Commenting on Pashinyan's proposal to provide Azerbaijan with communication routes with Nakhichevan through the territory of Armenia, the political scientist said that Baku is not at all interested in communication routes. Azerbaijan needs an extraterritorial corridor. Accordingly, the era of peace declared by Pashinyan is not needed. Or it is needed, but on condition that the peace will be accompanied by the "Zangezur corridor" withdrawn from Armenia.According to him, the latest Azerbaijani attacks on Artsakh were due precisely to Baku's desire to demonstrate to Yerevan that in case of refusal to provide the "Zangezur corridor", Azerbaijan would cover the corridor through Lachin. After that, it will complete the process of de-Armenization of Artsakh, that is, it will achieve its final goals, while Armenia will continue to remain in a state of blockade.
"The leadership of Armenia made many promises to Azerbaijan, which it consistently fulfills. But Azerbaijan is rushing this process, seeing Armenia's desire to delay this process as much as possible. This is the whole essence of what is happening. Yerevan has never voiced a refusal to fulfill the promises made to Baku, Including the five Azerbaijani points of the peace agreement," Baghdasaryan summed up.
