According to the source, the most titled sports programmer in the world, Gennady Korotkevich, will hold the final in Yerevan.
During the meeting with Gennady Korotkevich, which took place a day earlier, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Vahram Dumanyan expressed his readiness to assist in its worthy holding. He also stressed that intellectual, scientific and business prerequisites for the successful operation of the IT sector have been created in Armenia at the moment.
The minister said that this year, in addition to the three main teams traditionally participating in the competition (YSU, Armenian-Russian University, American University of Armenia), other Armenian universities will also be among the participants.
According to the source, the regional finals of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) will be held simultaneously in five cities in Armenia and Russian St. Petersburg, Barnaul, Kazakh Almaty and Belarussian Minsk. The organizers of the competition in Armenia are the Yerevan State University and CodeSignal. It should be noted that Gennady Korotkevich is the most titled sports programmer on the planet, a multiple winner of international and all-Russian championships and tournaments in sports programming, including those organized by large companies such as Google, IBM, Facebook, etc. Takes first place in the Topcoder ratings and Codeforces ratings.
