ArmInfo. Secretary of the RA Security Council Armen Grigoryan held a meeting with Vice-President of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly Andrius Kubilius.
Attending the meeting was Lithuanian Ambassador to Armenia Mrs. Inga Stanyte-Tolockiene.
The sides exchanged views on regional and international security and stability.
"I presented to my interlocutor the position of the Republic of Armenia on regional stability, long-lasting settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, unblocking of all the regional communications, demarcation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. I emphasized a need for a comprehensive settlement of the Nagorno- Karabakh conflict under the OSCE Minsk Group's auspices, presented urgent humanitarian issues and pointed out a need for an expeditious repatriation of Armenian POWs, hostages and other detainees, as well as for preservation of Armenian historical, cultural and religious heritage in the Azerbaijan-conttlled territories," Mr Grigoryan said.
Mr Kubilius hailed the ongoing democratic reforms in Armenia and stressed Lithuania's willingness to expand the bilateral cooperation and contribute to the Armenia-EU cooperation.
Yerevan is hosting a meeting of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly, with Azerbaijani MPs among the participants. Protests are planned to draw the EU's attention to violation of democratic standards in Armenia.
