ArmInfo. The Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs, RA Parliament, has approved the nomination of Armenia's ex-minister of finance Atom Janjughazyan to the post of chairman of the Audit Chamber.
The post has remained vacant since January 19, after Chairman Levon Yolyan handed in his early resignation.
Atom Janjughazyan was born on March 22, 1971 in Yerevan. In 1992 Graduated from the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute named after K. Marx, in 1995 - Master's degree at the Higher School of the State Engineering University of Armenia. Since 1993, he worked in the Ministry of Economy of the Republic, and since 1995 - in the Ministry of Finance of Armenia. Since 1999, he has been Deputy Minister of Finance and Chief Treasurer. From May 2018 to August 3, 2021, he served as the Minister of Finance of Armenia.
