ArmInfo.By December 17, 2021, a total of 1, 626,738 people had received COVID vaccines, reports the RA Ministry of Health.
A total of 934,028 people received the first dose, and 692,082, the second.
By December 13, people aged 35 to 64 had received both doses (58.2% and 60.5% respectively), followed by people aged 18 to 34 (27.2% and 24.29% respectively). People aged over 65 that received one or both doses constitute 14.5% and 15.2% respectively, and people aged 12 to 17, 0.1% and 0.01% respectively. On December 23, the RA government allocated AMD 1.2bln (about $2.4mln) to the RA Ministry of Health for purchasing 200,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine.
Minister Anahit Avanesyan reported that the vaccines will be delivered by the end of this year. Armenia`s authorities are also expecting vaccines as a gift from foreign partners. Among the COVID vaccines freely available in Armenia now are Sputnik V, AstraZeneca, Coronovac, Sinopharm, and Spikevax.
