ArmInfo.The process of mutual recognition of certificates on vaccination against COVID-19 will soon be completed between Armenia and India. This became known during a meeting of Minister of Health of Armenia Anahit Avanesyan with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Armenia Kishan Dan Dewal.
The parties discussed the process of vaccination against coronavirus, programs aimed at re-equipping medical aid centers in the regions, as well as the possibilities of developing Armenian-Indian cooperation in the field of pharmaceuticals.
At the end of October, the EU decided to recognize the COVID certificates issued in Armenia. According to this decision, Armenia joined the EU digital certificate system, which allows Armenian citizens with COVID certificates to enter the EU countries without additional checks, as well as to the territory of several states that have joined this system.
It should be noted that as of November 21, 1,110,891 people were vaccinated in Armenia, of which 738,887 citizens received the first component, and, accordingly, - 372,004 the second component. Russian- made (Sputnik V), British-Swedish (AstraZeneca), Chinese (CoronaVac and Sinopharm) and American- made Moderna produced by the American Spikevax company vaccines are available without any restrictions in Armenia. According to the Ministry of Health of Armenia, since the outbreak of the pandemic, 334,878 cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in the country, 308,922 people have recovered, 7,356 died (over 2.1% of the number of cases).
