ArmInfo. RA NA President Alen Simonyan hosted on Tuesday Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Armenia John Gallagher.
The interlocutors touched upon the regional security issues and underlined the importance of a lasting and comprehensive settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict under the mandate of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship.
The sides also discussed the prospects for development of the Armenian-British intergovernmental cooperation and intensification of relations between the two Parliaments.
The NA President underlined the necessity of expanding the multi-lateral relations with the United Kingdom. He stressed the role of the National Assembly in the development of the constructive political dialogue.
Ambassador John Gallagher thanked Mr Simonyan for the reception, and assured him that despite BREXIT, Great Britain intends to continue the cooperation with Armenia in the fields outlined by the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) as a state that signed and ratified the EU- Armenia CEPA.
