ArmInfo. The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry was outraged by the visit of Armenian Defense Minister Arshak Karapetyan to Artsakh.
The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry decided to once again emphasize the temporary nature of the deployment of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh, while not forgetting to attribute Artsakh to its "historical territories". At the same time, they completely forgot that any Armenian church on the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh is many times older than the artificially established Azerbaijani state.
Then, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan decided to instruct Armenia how to act in organizing such a visit, saying that Yerevan should ask permission from Baku.
"This provocative visit of the Armenian Defense Minister was deliberately carried out on the eve of the anniversary of the trilateral statement signed by the presidents of the Russian Federation, Azerbaijan, and the Prime Minister of Armenia on November 10, 2020. By this, the military-political leadership of Armenia, grossly violating the provisions of the trilateral statement, seeks to destabilize the situation in the region and cast a shadow on the activities of the Russian peacekeepers, "the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense continued, accusing Armenia of unwillingness to adapt to the new geopolitical situation in the region, strengthening peace and security, instead making attempts at "cheap military adventures" for internal consumption.
At the same time, the Azeri Defense Ministry, speaking so loudly about peace, probably completely lost its memory, because just yesterday the Azeri servicaman shot at 4 Armenian civilians who were repairing the water pipeline.
"We warn the military-political leadership of Armenia that in the case of a repetition of such illegal visits to "Azerbaijani territories", guided by the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the necessary measures will be taken to prevent aggressive separatism and terrorist provocations," the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry cynically declared, which is inspired by its own impunity, amid the inaction of the international community.
As ArmInfo previously reported, the head of the Armenian defense department Arshak Karapetyan paid a working visit to Artsakh on November 6-7.
