During the September 29 meeting, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Bulgarian Ambassador to Armenia Kalin Anastasov expressed satisfaction with the rich agenda of Armenian-Bulgarian relations, exchanged views on the prospects for expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
As reported by the RA MFA press service, Ararat Mirzoyan and Kalin Anastasov pointed to the importance of the positive dynamics recorded in the trade and economic field, the work on opening direct flights between the capitals of the two countries, as well as the role of the Armenian-Bulgarian intergovernmental commission on economic, scientific and technical issues in the further development of cooperation.
The interlocutors discussed issues related to the further development of Armenia-EU partnership and cooperation within the framework of the Eastern Partnership. During the meeting, the sides touched upon humanitarian problems resulting from the aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh.
Both sides stressed the need for a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship.
