ArmInfo. The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) criticized the silence of the Armenian authorities in connection with the visits of foreign diplomats to occupied  Shushi, organized by the Azerbaijani authorities at the end of last week.

Thus, the Spokesperson of the Republican Party, former deputy speaker  of the Armenian parliament Eduard Sharmazanov, assessing the visit of  the ambassadors of foreign states accredited in Azerbaijan, sharply  criticized the silence of the Armenian authorities.

"The capitulators talked about a new allied vector  Greece-Armenia-Cyprus, however, the Greek ambassador to Baku Nikos  Piperigos, together with the ambassadors of a number of states, is  visiting occupied Shushi. Is this your promised diplomatic  achievement? You cannot even maintain and develop relations with our  traditionally friendly states." And now you keep silence, while  distributing posts.  I am Greek by origin, as a son of the Greek and  Armenian peoples, and the former head of the Armenian- Greek  parliamentary commission, I would like to note the presence here, of  course, of the mistake of the Greek side, and, if you like, an  obviously unacceptable step of Ambassador Piperigos, " Sharmazanov  noted.

In his conviction, by participating in a diplomatic show organized by  Baku, the representative of official Athens betrayed not only the  fraternal Armenian people, but above all Eastern Christian and Greek  interests.

"But this is happening because Armenia itself, represented by the  ''hammer regime'', has forgotten its own national interests. This is  because instead of strengthening diplomatic and parliamentary ties,  the National Assembly of Armenia applauds the capitulator, who  declares that" Azerbaijan is constructive ".  While diplomatic,  parliamentary and military ties were really strong. Greece was the  only country that in 2015 convened a special parliamentary session  dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide,  "Sharmazanov noted, also recalling that Greek deputies together with  him visited Artsakh during the April 2016 war and supported the  struggle of the heroic people of Artsakh for independence.

The RPA Spokesman added that Greece was the only state that provided  a rostrum for the Deputy Speaker of the Armenian Parliament in the  hall of the Greek Parliament.  He emphasized that this happened,  since "in the former" Armenia, everyone was responsible for his own  front of work with specific results, and not with likes on social  networks.  "Gentlemen, capitulators who surrendered our lands - you  destroyed everything. You killed the 30-year-old dream of our people.  You even turned our former allies into opponents. You left Artsakh  alone and turned Armenia into a bargaining chip. Even if the whole  world votes for you, you claim solely for the role of Judas or  Brutus. In the future that you carry, there is no free Artsakh and  Independent Armenia. While the latter is the most important for  history, everything else: a hammer, a mandate, a position and people  like you are outgoing ", Sharmazanov summed up.  Let us remind that  at the end of last week the visit of foreign ambassadors accredited  in Azerbaijan to the occupied Armenian Shushi took place. The  ambassadors of 46 states, including those friendly to Armenia,  accepted the invitation of the Azerbaijani authorities to visit the  occupied Armenian city. The ambassadors of the OSCE Minsk Group  co-chairing countries - Russia, France and the United States - did  not take part in the trip. This caused a negative reaction from Baku.   Such visits have already been assessed negatively in Stepanakert. In  the conviction of Artsakh Foreign Minister David Babayan, in the  conditions of the unresolved conflict, such visits to the occupied  territories are not only unacceptable from the moral and ethical  point of view, but also testify to the encouragement of the  aggression of the Azerbaijani-Turkish tandem.  In Yerevan, for the  time being, they keep a deaf silence in connection with these actions  of Baku and foreign diplomats.

It is noteworthy that throughout the entire period of the existence  of the Karabakh conflict, foreign diplomats refrained from such  visits. However, this time they not only went to Shushi with great  zeal, but also shared their impressions, forgetting that the conflict  is not over, and such actions cannot lead to anything good, except  censure.
