ArmInfo.For violations of the electoral legislation, committed during the early elections to the Armenian parliament, criminal prosecution has been initiated against 47 persons, 40 of them for giving and receiving bribes, the press service of the RA Prosecutor General's Office reported.
In particular, as of June 25, 23 criminal cases were initiated on the fact of giving and receiving, mediation in the giving of a bribe, 3 - for coercion to participate in campaigning or in hindering participation in the election campaign, 2 - for the use of violence or the threat of violence on the territory of the polling station or the territory adjacent to it. One case was carried out for the preparation and distribution of false ballots by a group of persons by prior conspiracy, 1 - obstruction of the exercise of suffrage by the threat of damage to property, monetary motivation, 2 - for coercion to vote in favor of a party or bloc, 1 - for attempts to re-vote , 1 - coercion to violate the secrecy of the vote, and 4 - for damage to property (election advertising).
In these cases, criminal prosecution is carried out against 47 persons, 26 of them have been charged, and 11 have the procedural status of a suspect.
On June 20, early parliamentary elections were held in Armenia, as a result of which three parties entered the new convocation of the National Assembly of Armenia. So, according to the preliminary data of the CEC, in the 8th convocation of the National Assembly the "Civil Contract" party will have 72 mandates, the bloc "Hayastan" ("Armenia") - 27, "I Have the Honor" bloc - 6 mandates.
