ArmInfo. Former Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan believes that only Robert Kocharian is able to lead the country out of a deep crisis. This is stated in the statement he circulated.

 

According to him, the elections scheduled for June 20 are extremely important for the future of Armenia.  As a result of the war, the country found itself in a deep crisis, overcoming which is urgently needed today, he said.

 

In particular, according to Karapetyan, it should be noted that the combat capability of the army has significantly decreased, the entire security system of Armenia and Artsakh has been violated, and serious social problems have aggravated, which require the mobilization of all possible resources.

 

In addition, internal disagreements in society, irritation, apathy and passivity have a destructive effect on the development of society and the state, the role of the state is distorted, political discourse is reduced to the everyday level, the state system acts impulsively and not systematically.

 

"We have a crisis in relations with the diaspora, a system of values and national ideology, and many other issues. The moment is fatal, the challenges are multi-layered and dangerous, and solutions are limited and require high professionalism," he said.

 

In this context, according to the former prime minister, it is necessary to quickly restore the security system, achieve calmness and tolerance in the country, the reputation of a predictable and reliable partner in the foreign policy sphere, and take effective anti-crisis steps to create the preconditions for a prosperous life. 

 

It is necessary to restart the effective system of public administration, reconsider relations with the Diaspora, which should turn from a donor into a full-fledged partner and lobbying center of Armenian interests. "Our current reality is a minefield through which the country must pass. There is no alternative to this. This path must be passed as efficiently as possible and with minimal losses. It is necessary to realize the cost of every mistake and the inadmissibility of adventurism. Robert Kocharian can ensure this," Karapetyan stressed.

 

According to Karapetyan, the experience gained while holding government positions and in the field of a competitive and multicultural business environment and the combination of personal and managerial qualities allow Kocharian, having formed a professional team, to lead the country out of the crisis and direct it to a decent future.

 

"He can create conditions where the potential of our society will be maximally realized and we will have a national, modern, rational and effective state. I propose to definitely go to the elections, once again with responsibility to think about what situation we are in, what challenges we face and what team can cope with them, leading the country to development.
