The MPG consulting company (Marketing Professional Group, the exclusive representative of the International GALLUP Association in Armenia) published the results of a survey for May 18, 2021- May 21, 2021, reflecting the public's attitude to the upcoming parliamentary elections.
MPG experts asked the respondents whether it is possible to hold fair and transparent elections under the current government. 30.8% stated - "definitely - yes", 14.3% - "most likely - yes", 17.2% - "most likely - no", 33%, as it turned out, do not unequivocally believe in this possibility and only 4.7% found it difficult to answer this question.
Most of the citizens still intend to take part in the upcoming parliamentary elections in June this year. In particular, 55.7% of the respondents noted that they would definitely go to vote, 18.3% - "rather yes", 10.8% - "rather no", 13.9% - "definitely no", and 1.2% - found it difficult to answer. As Navasardyan noted, if the indicator remains at this level, it will exceed the turnout in the last parliamentary elections.
If the elections were held this Sunday, 24.8% of the respondents would vote for the My Step electoral bloc, 14.3% for the Hayastan bloc headed by Robert Kocharian, 4.1% for the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), bloc" - 3.1%, the party - 2.5%, 2% - for , 1.6% supported the Shirinyan-Babajanyan bloc, " Hayots Hayrenik ", - 1.2%, for the Armenian National Congress - 1.1%, 0.6% - for "Sasna Tsrer", 0.5% - for the party <5165>. At the same time, 0.4% - would support the political initiative "National Democratic Pole", "Fair Armenia", "Alliance" and "Citizen's Decision", 0.1% - the Communist Party of Armenia, 1.2% of the respondents presented other options. 13.3% of respondents refused to answer the question, 14.6% found it difficult to answer. At the same time, 13.4% of respondents are not ready to vote for the candidates presented.
When asked how citizens wanted to get acquainted with the programs of politicians, there were the following answers: television would be preferred by 41.7%, Facebook - by 20.8%, electronic media - by 19.3%, 7.3% -meetings in the yard, per page parties on Facebook - 5.7%, with the help of booklets - 5.1%, for external advertising - 3%, print media - 2%, party web page - 2.1%, radio - 2%, sideboards - 0,6%, other sources- 18%, 6.8% of the respondents found it difficult to answer . At the same time, as it turned out, 47% of respondents took personal part in the movement that led to the revolution in April-May 2018, and 53% noted that they did not take part.
To note, the survey was conducted through telephone calls to residents of Armenia in the period from May 18 to May 21 this year, the sample size was 800, the sampling error was +/- 3.5%.
