Thus, the head of the PAP and the head of its parliamentary faction Gagik Tsarukyan noted on his Facebook page that a few days ago he stated that in order to get out of the current difficult situation in the country, it is necessary to form new authorities and a new government as soon as possible. "The only legitimate way for this is to hold extraordinary parliamentary elections. The people must decide with their own voice who it will entrust the next power. Extraordinary parliamentary elections will take place in Armenia on June 20. I wish the Armenian people peace, God help us all," Tsarukyan wrote.
In turn, the head of the Bright Armenia parliamentary faction, Edmon Marukyan, responding to the news of the early elections, noted that he had a telephone conversation with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and called the holding of elections on June 20, 2021 acceptable. "During the conversation with the Prime Minister, the issue of organizing early parliamentary elections was discussed. In response to our demand to hold the elections in a short time frame, the Prime Minister proposed to discuss June 20 as the deadline for holding the elections. I stressed that holding elections as soon as possible is of primary importance, and they should not be delayed until autumn or until 2023, "Marukyan wrote. Today, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held talks with Tsarukyan, after which he announced that early parliamentary elections would be held in the country on June 20 this year.
