ArmInfo.The question of the immediate return of Armenian prisoners of war, contained in Azerbaijan, was raised by the Ombudsman of Armenia by Arman Tatokany  during a special discussion in German Bundestag.

According to the press service of the Office of Human Rights of the  Human Rights of Armenia, speaking with a separate report on a special  online discussion on the issue of Armenian prisoners of war,  contained by Azerbaijan, Tatokan, raised the issue of the imperative  of the return of Armenian prisoners of war and civilians.

The RA Ombudsman noted that the Azerbaijani authorities artificially  delay and politicize this process to cause peace of mind to Armenian  society and especially the families of prisoners, as well as to  create tensions in the country.

Armenian Human Rights Defender presented in detail international  norms of humanitarian law and human rights that require immediate  release and safe return of prisoners. Moreover, the gross violation  of the international humanitarian law and the rights of prisoners is  their representation as <terrorists>, as it is about the ongoing  armed conflict.

Tataryan also provided information on war crimes and crimes against  humanity committed by Azerbaijani armed forces during the war  (beading, torture, humiliation of tel, etc.).

The defender of human rights considers important assistance to the  Armenian Embassy in Germany in organizing this discussion.

It should be noted that the evidence of the atrocities and torture of  the Azerbaijanis, collected by the defender of human rights of  Armenia, were transferred to the Armenian ambassador to the Armenian  Ambassador to Germany Ashots in Germany in Germany.

Note that the discussion was chaired by the Chairman of the Standing  Committee of the Bundestag on Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs  of Michael Brandt, and the Chairman of the Petitions Committee of the  Bundestag Marian Vendata. More than 70 German deputies took part in  the discussion.
