ArmInfo. Lawmaker of the National Assembly Sofia Hovsepyan told why she decided to leave the "My Step" faction. In an interview with reporters, the MP noted that her decision was related to the trilateral agreement signed by the Prime Minister of Armenia on November 9, 2020.
''I should have left the faction right after the agreement was signed. However, as a true patriot, I decided to help the government solve the problems that faced the country. But there were too many problems, and the authorities did not behave seriously enough, and I decided to leave the faction, "the lawmaker noted. Hovsepyan also noted that she does not intend to cooperate with representatives of 17 opposition parties, and with the "Bright Armenia" party. The lawmaker, in particular, remarked: "Now I do not intend to cooperate with any political force. At the moment, I have neither the desire nor the intention to cooperate with any political force>
The MP stressed that at this stage she is in favor of creating an interim government. "If we are going to hold early parliamentary elections, and if we want to achieve fair elections, the elections should be held by the interim government. The people will express their opinion and choose the one whom people want to see at the helm of power. The current government should not have levers of pressure on the people during the elections, "Hovsepyan said.
