The President of the European People's Party (EPP) Donald Tusk said on March 9 in Brussels at a meeting with the head of the Armenian government, Nikol Pashinyan, the RA Prime Minister's press service reports.
In turn, Pashinyan praised the role of Tusk in the development of Armenia-EU relations. At the same time, the Prime Minister of Armenia expressed his conviction that Tusk as head of the EPP will also contribute to the further development of cooperation and progress. The interlocutors exchanged views on the issues of the Armenia-EU relations agenda, pointing out the importance of active interaction in the European Parliament of Armenian MPs and EPP parliamentarians. The Prime Minister spoke about the judicial reform process in the country, including the circumstances of the upcoming constitutional referendum. An exchange of views took place on the consistent process of the fight against corruption in Armenia. The EPP President praised the ongoing reforms in Armenia and expressed readiness to contribute to the development and deepening of cooperation with Armenia.
