ArmInfo. We begin the process of revealing cases of embezzlement in 2015-2018 in the Committee of State Revenues of the Republic of Armenia of credit and grant funds in the amount of 100 million euros, as well as bringing all those responsible to justice. This was announced by independent MP Arman Babajanyan on his Facebook page.
"We have at our disposal factual evidence that in the indicated years Gagik Khachatryan, Hovhannes Hovsepyan and Vardan Harutyunyan, who headed the SRC, caused hundreds of millions of damage to the state," Babajanyan informed.
To recall, Gagik Khachatryan is accused of embezzlement on a particularly large scale and abuse of authority. He has been charged under part 2 of article 308 of the RA Criminal Code and part 2 of article 308 of the RA Criminal Code, and he is under arrest.
Hovhannes Hovsepyan appeared in the focus of the media in the summer of 2018, when law enforcement officers found a machine gun and a gun in his car. In May of that year, the media reported that Vardan Harutyunyan and then Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan allegedly transferred one billion drams from the budget, filling out the funds as a VAT refund. Meanwhile, the State Revenue Committee denied this information.
