ArmInfo.Our peoples fought side by side with fascism, the war left a terrible trail of losses in practically every home, and at the price of incredible dedication of  our peoples the Great Victory was won, Ambassador of Russia in  Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin said at the conference "Memory and Actual  Sound of the Great Victory: 74th anniversary of the victory in the  Great Patriotic War".

"No one and nothing is able to reduce the significance of the feat of  our grandfathers and fathers. Victory Day reminds us that it was our  army that dealt a crushing blow to Nazism," the Ambassador said,  noting with regret that we are now confronted with attempts to forget  tragic but glorious pages of world history in favor of one or other  political and geopolitical interests. He emphasized the  inadmissibility of this:  "Humanity is obliged to preserve the memory  of the Victory." He also stated that this year, as in the past, the  Immortal Regiment campaign will be held in Yerevan and a number of  cities.  In turn, the Ambassador of Belarus in Armenia Igor Nazaruk,  also stated that attempts to forget the common history are  unacceptable: "For the independence of their homeland, the united  family of the USSR combined forces and won the right to life. We  protected the future of the world from the brown plague, and doubt  its value is unacceptable. " He noted that today some countries are  trying to artificially reduce the significance of the Great Victory  in favor of the political situation. "And in this sense the war  declared to historians is cynical and inexplicable. I am sure that  the joint future, the joint struggle and the victory over fascism in  the past is a good and strong basis for further strategic cooperation  within the framework of the CSTO and the EAEU ", the diplomat  concluded. Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Armenia Timur Urazaev stated  that the government of the country paid and will pay special  attention to veterans. He also stressed that the government of  Kazakhstan will prevent attempts to falsify history. "Educating the  younger generation is impossible without understanding and getting  acquainted with the feat that our grandfathers and fathers  accomplished in liberation from German invaders", the diplomat summed  up.  To note, the conference was organized by the research and  analytical public organization "Integration and Development", the  Association of Veterans of the Republic of Armenia and the Eurasian  Expert Club.
