ArmInfo.Consumer rights protection is an absolute priority for the government of Armenia, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a forum dedicated to Consumer Rights Protection Day.
He further tried to explain what a consumer right is: "This is when, for example, the amount of gasoline bought by a driver meets the indicators indicated on the tabloid of a filling device, and at the same time gasoline meets all the necessary standards."
At the same time, he considered street trade inadmissible in order not to repeat the bitter experience of the early 90s. At the same time, Pashinyan stressed the inadmissibility of speculation with this issue from motives. "If we allow the sale of meat on the street, thinking that we are solving a social problem, it will mean that we consider our state a country with low standards, not only in terms of consumer protection, but also social protection", - noted the prime minister.
He also stressed that in order to increase exports it is important to bring the standards of domestic products in line with the highest international standards.
