On February 22, the members of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on Health and Social Affairs met with OSCE Economic and Environmental Coordinator Teresa Albano.According to the press service of the parliament, the OSCE plans to implement a program to support the economic activities of women in vulnerable situations in the regions of Armenia within two years.
The project will provide assistance to women's resource centers established by the OSCE in areas of the country. Albano stressed that the needs of community organizations, resource centers and social workers will be studied, and, working with the government, will help improve services.Teresa Albano noted that in the near future she will visit Syunik region for meetings with interested parties. The chairman of the commission stressed the importance of women's participation in economic activities, especially in the regions of Armenia.
