ArmInfo.This year, Russia has provided 210 quotas to Armenia for free education of its citizens in advanced universities of the country. Director of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Yerevan, Sergey Rubinsky, stated this on February 15 at a press conference in Yerevan.
According to him, in comparison with the previous goal, the number of training places offered to applicants from Armenia has increased. Acceptance of applications and documents for study in Russia will begin on February 18 and will continue until March 1. Next, applicants are waiting for the examination period, and preliminary results will be announced March 20-22. "Applicants can apply for one of the 500 best Russian universities," Rubinsky said. He also stressed that the number of quotas is growing every year, and the interest of Armenian citizens in Russian universities is increasing. For example, last year 205 quotas were allocated, in 2017 - 187, with 600 applications. The commission, which will conduct an interview in the center, will include representatives of the Russian embassy and the Ministry of Education of Armenia. When selecting candidates, the commission will pay attention to the academic performance of the applicant. Written examinations will be in mathematics, physics, and chemistry.
