ArmInfo.Armenian police revealed facts of abuse at Araratcement company, the press service of the law enforcement agency reported. In particular, the company maliciously evaded paying taxes, and was engaged in kickbacks, causing damage to the state in the amount of 269 million drams ($ 560 thousand).
According to the information, on the basis of operational data, the Police officers found out that from October 2015 to May 2018, inclusive, Artyom Zohrabyan purchased cement worth 540 million drams (approximately $ 1.1 million) from the company, at a price of 51.5 thousand drams per ton (about $ 110). Then he sold the goods at a price of 54 thousand drams ($ 120) per ton.

The police opened a criminal case on the fact of abuse and sent it to the Investigation Department of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia.
To recall, at the end of last year, Multi Group concern (owned by the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, MP Gagik Tsarukyan), who is the owner of Araratcement plant, announced a decrease in prices for manufactured cement. In particular, the price of one ton of product from 50 thousand drams has been reduced to 40 thousand drams since January 1, 2019.
