Meanwhile, Shirak Public TV and Radio Company, continuing to broadcast in analog mode, could not provide a wide audience, and the transition to digital broadcasting will require additional legislative regulations and significant financial investments, which is currently unrealistic.
According to the draft decision, the chairman of the state property management committee is charged with forming a liquidation commission within 15 days after the decision enters into force, including representatives of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Justice, the Council of Public TV and Radio Administration, the Shirak region administration. In addition, the Chairman of the Council of the Public TV and Radio Company is charged with ensuring the transfer of the commission to the relevant documents and property, as well as cash and bonds of the company being liquidated. Payments to creditors are entrusted to the Ministry of Finance. After these calculations, if there is any remaining property, it is transferred to the state property management committee.
To note, the issue of transition to digital broadcasting caused and causes concern for members of the public, since 14 channels and at least 700 people may be in the status of unemployed. In addition, the conditions for digitalization of TV and radio channels can lead to a sharp decline in the competition market, since, in fact, one channel will remain in each region.
