Former Minister of Agriculture of Armenia, now Deputy Minister of the Ministry Gegham Gevorgyan is ready to work as Deputy Minister of Agriculture in case of structural changes and the union of the Ministry with the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments. Answering the question of ArmInfo, Gevorgyan said on January 31 after the government meeting.
According to him, he sees himself in the future in the system of government. At the moment, he did not receive proposals for further tenure as deputy minister. In the case of a proposal, Gevorgyan is ready to discuss it in accordance with its professional capabilities. To recall, Gegham Gevorgyan was appointed Minister of Agriculture on October 16, 2018. After the decision was made to optimize the work of the state apparatus and reduce the number of ministries from the current 17 to 12, in particular, the possibility of combining the Ministry of Agriculture with the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments is being considered, on January 23 by the decision of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan Gegham Gevorgyan was appointed as Deputy Minister of Agriculture.
