ArmInfo. There are no international agreements between Armenia and Georgia on the provision of personal data of RA citizens. The Chief of the Armenian Police, Colonel Armen Ghukasyan stated this at a press conference, commenting on media publications on cooperation between Armenian and Georgian law enforcement agencies on a certain secret list of people with criminal backgrounds moreover, this document allegedly became the basis for restrictions and prohibition of these people to free movement across the border.
"A citizen's criminal past cannot become an obstacle to his movement across the border. There are no international agreements between Armenia and Georgia on the provision of personal data of RA citizens, and if they are provided only within the framework of the law, "he explained. At the same time, Ghukasyan stressed that the Armenian and Georgian law enforcement agencies are in close cooperation.
