ArmInfo. As a result of structural changes, 128 tax inspectors of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia were dismissed from work. "And this is only the beginning," David Ananian, head of the SRC told a press conference in Yerevan on January 16, answering ArmInfo's question.
According to the Chairman of the Committee, back in October 2018, employees of 7 departments carrying out inspection actions, about 580 people, received notifications about a possible reduction due to structural reforms.
As a result, as Ananyan explained, in essence, the inspection process was centralized, which led to staff optimization. According to him, a separate, collegial decision was taken regarding each employee. For more than two months, the professional competence of 580 SRC employees was assessed. "As a result, 128 of them were dismissed, and, with regret, I note that the choice was made between a good and best employee.
And one cannot say that they were all worth the reduction. But this is only the beginning,"- He said, stressing that this required structural optimization. The remaining about 450 employees were reassigned. Over the next 2-3 months, these employees will be in the personnel reserve of the SRC and, as pointed out by David Ananyan, the agency may reconsider its decision regarding certain individuals.
