ArmInfo.General Manvel Grigoryan did not visit Artsakh. Lawyer of Grigorian Levon Barseghyan stated this at a press conference on January 14.

He noted that lawyers communicate daily with Grigoryan, and this  information is not true.

The lawyer also touched the general's state of health. "Grigoryan's  blood sugar level is very high 25-30% and the doctors cannot lower  him. He has very serious health problems. Various doctors visit him  around the clock and assist him. As soon as his health condition  permits, he will begin to take part meetings, "stressed Barseghyan.

He also noted that pressure on the court is not permissible.  Barseghyan noted that everything that happens reminds of the  pre-Christian era. "The protesters organize protest actions in front  of the court, demanding to arrest Manvel Grigoryan, what does this  mean? Under such conditions, an independent judicial system is out of  the question. The judicial system needs special attention," the  lawyer said. He also noted that he was particularly indignant that  General Prosecutor Arthur Davtyan, under pressure from the  protesters, announced his intention to appeal the decision to release  Grigoryan on bail, instead of urging respect for the court.  Also,  the lawyer said that there are no grounds for keeping his client  under arrest. "There is no reason to believe that Manvel Grigoryan,  while at liberty, will impede the work of law enforcement agencies,"  Barseghyan concluded.

In turn, Grigoryan's lawyer Arsen Mkrtchyan, in an interview with  journalists, said that one should not put pressure on lawyers and,  despite the fact that people like his client or not, he has the right  to protect anyone he sees fit. Mkrtchyan noted that he always behaved  extremely correctly with regard to the protesters and never insulted  anyone.

To note, in front of the courthouse are two actions simultaneously. A  group of lawyers, led by the head of the Chamber of Advocates Ara  Zohrabyan, holds an action in front of the Court of Appeal in support  of Grigoryan's lawyers.

The head of the Chamber of Advocates Ara Zohrabyan in an interview  with journalists, said that today lawyers in sensitive cases are not  protected. "Consequently, the vulnerability of lawyers, in my  opinion, is a blow to our state. We want to assist lawyers, as some  of the protesters associate lawyers with their client," Zohrabyan  stressed.

In turn, a group of activists demands the detention of Manvel  Grigorian.

To note, on Saturday, January 12, the protesters with the same demand  blocked the road to the international airport "Zvartnots".
