ArmInfo.A number of intellectuals and experts decided to form a working group that will develop approaches to resolve the Karabakh conflict and present them to the Prime Minister, the head of the foreign ministry and the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs.
The working group included Chairman of the Armenian Democratic Party Aram Sargsyan, Ambassador Arman Navasardyan, expert Alexander Manasyan, first ombudsman of Armenia Larisa Alaverdyan, ecologist Karine Danielyan. The head of the organizing committee, Aram Sargsyan, in particular, stressed that the Madrid Principles did not make progress in the negotiation process, and the constant talk about unilateral territorial concessions create quasi-expectations in society. The meeting participants also stressed that the new authorities of Armenia have all the opportunities to propose a new, more promising agenda for resolving the problem. "It is necessary, first, to sign an agreement on the peace process, in the context of which it will be possible to move the process off the ground," members of the initiative group stressed.
