ArmInfo. New elements are being introduced into the justice system in Armenia that causes our deep concern. This is stated in the statement of the "Group of alternative projects" received by ArmInfo.
In a statement, in particular, it is noted that instead of reforms based on the achievements of the modern world, new, extremely alarming elements are being introduced - Silvia justice and Lynch justice. "In recent days, there has been a tendency in Armenia to influence the judiciary through rallies," the statement says.
Members of the group also note that the SIS and the prosecutor's office continue to consider arrest as a method of punishment and a method of obtaining evidence. "We call for vigilance. If we now resort to ill- considered steps, we can fall into the trap from which the state will come up with heavy losses. We also call upon the courts to make decisions in this difficult period, guided solely by the law, and not be pressured by the press, SIS and prosecutors ", - concluded the group members.
To note, recently after the passing of court decisions (the case on changing the preventive measure against Robert Kocharyan, the case on releasing Manvel Grigoryan on bail, the court's refusal to arrest former Deputy Prime Minister Armen Gevorgyan - Ed.) making. After that, the Prosecutor General's Office and the SIS try to appeal the decisions taken by the court in higher instances. In addition, there is moral pressure from the public and political circles on the judges who changed the sentences from arrest to a recognizance not to leave the place or to bail.
