ArmInfo.Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited Holy Echmiadzin, where he met with the Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II.

As the press service of the Armenian government reports, the  Catholicos congratulated Pashinyan on the successful organization and  conduct of the elections, which were highly appreciated by the  representatives of the observation missions, as well as on the  impressive results recorded by the My Step block in the elections.

This trust  should also strengthen the aspirations of every son of a people in  the importance of contributing to the construction of the homeland,  to the cherished and sacred work for the progress of the homeland.  Our church should also make every effort to strengthen national  unity, unite the potential of our people and use all the  opportunities with which we can also achieve success in this life",  the Catholicos of All Armenians said.

Expressing gratitude for the congratulations, wishes and warm words,  Nikol Pashinyan stressed that the country had entered an important  stage.  "I think it is important to emphasize that the changes that  are taking place have a serious value basis, and the most important  value that should become an everyday thing in our life is respect for  the rights of other people, as well as our own rights, because I  think it's very important that the person was consistent in his  rights, which should lead to respect for the rights of others, "Nikol  Pashinyan stressed. He noted that the environment of civil, political  and individual mutual respect is the most important value, and it is  important that this phenomenon has strong roots in our country. "In  general, in the history of our Third Republic, it often happened when  democracy was confused with permissiveness, weakness or politeness  confused with weakness. By the way, I would say that this is  happening now, and we hope that, first of all, these values will  change Mutual respect, respect for freedoms and an awareness of our  collective agenda and interests is an important thing that we must do  in the future, because it is a really important stage when personal  goals must be finally thrown out of our perception and conscious.
