ArmInfo.During the last parliamentary elections, the incumbent government of Armenia received an impressive mandate of trust from the people, which testifies to satisfaction with the work of the government. Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated on December 13, before the beginning of the government meeting.
According to Pashinyan, the fact that the political force headed by him received the overwhelming majority of the votes, at least, means that the post-revolutionary government has done a lot. "Based on the results of this work, the citizens of the country have given us a mandate to continue what already has been started," he said.
At the same time, Nikol Pashinyan presented the main areas of activities of the future government. First of all, as he pointed out, the Cabinet must work to stimulate investment. According to him, there is a large investment activity in relation to Armenia, which in the future will only increase. A direct instruction has already been given to officials at all levels - do not interfere with the work of the investor. "I hope there will be no signals to me that someone has created artificial barriers to the implementation of any investment program," he stressed.
The second task of the government is to develop the military-industrial complex of the republic. This activity is directly related to the imperative to develop the technological and innovative potential of Armenia. In addition, the new government will work in the direction of improving the country's defense. According to Pashinyan, in the coming years, Armenia should have the opportunity to invest an additional $ 2.5 billion in the development of the Armed Forces. Funds also will be directed to solving the social tasks of servicemen.
Armenia in the near future, as indicated by the head of government, will raise the level of the educational system. In particular, higher education should be modernized and aligned with the requirements of the time. According to Pashinyan, the new government must ensure the availability of medicine. According to him, healthcare services should be upgraded to a new level. At the same time, Pashinyan stressed, the priority task of the government should be to reduce the level of poverty in Armenia, increase employment by ensuring the realization of the right of citizens to decent work.
