ArmInfo. The regular plenary meeting of the National Assembly of Armenia on December 4 failed because of lack of a quorum. As of 1.20pm, only 26 lawmakers registered. Meanwhile, 53 votes are needed to ensure a quorum.
"Since, according to the current legislation, we have 4 hours at our disposal to ensure a quorum, I suggest not to leave the parliament building, and work in the offices, as soon as 53 MP are registered, we will begin our work, " Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Ara Babloyan asked his colleagues.
To note, the agenda of the meeting, among other issues, also includes the petition of RA Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan to use arrest as a measure of restraint against NA MP Aram Harutyunyan.
