ArmInfo. Acting Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan proposed to develop a roadmap that will allow resolving the main problems that people with disabilities face in steps. Pashinyan invited representatives of non-governmental organizations dealing with the rights of persons with disabilities to consider this issue.
Welcoming the participants of the meeting, the head of government noted that there are many problems in this area that should be recognized, but the main problem is how to solve them so as not to lose ends. He proposed to classify all questions by priority and try to find solutions to them step by step. <Not only to protect the rights of people with disabilities, but also in any other area, we'll not be able to solve all the problems right away; we'll make it worse and don't get results. Therefore, we need a road map and I hope that our meeting today will serve this goal, "said Pashinyan.Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Zaruhi Batoyan noted that the problems of people with disabilities are mainly related to the lack of services, the inaccessible environment, physical, informational conditions, the lack of adequate means of transportation, that is, the unsatisfactory quality of life. The ministry is working on these issues, primarily by initiating the liberalization of public services, creating competition between their providers.Then an interesting exchange of ideas took place. Nikol Pashinyan instructed to strictly control the issues of providing conditions for disabled people in inter-city and city transport. The problems of children with autism were affected. Nikol Pashinyan stressed that the Armenian government is ready to take the necessary measures to create a modern specialized center for these children and called on the NGO representatives to make their proposals.
