ArmInfo.In order to monitor the electoral process, a working group was formed on the preparation and holding of December 9 extraordinary elections to the National Assembly of Armenia. This was stated by Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia Arman Tatoyan during a meeting with the head of the observation mission of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) OSCE Urszula Gacek.
According to him, led by the Ombudsman's office, the working group will carry out its activities within the framework of its authority in accordance with the requirements of the law. Arman Tatoyan stressed that during the entire election campaign and Election Day, the working group on a daily basis will monitor publications in the media about violations of the electoral process. At the same time, the necessary discussions will be provided on oral and written complaints addressed to the Ombudsman, including alerts via the hotline. The group will also be responsible for legal advice, citizen reception and quick response. The Head of the OSCE / ODIHR Observation Mission emphasized the important role of the Human Rights Defender in ensuring the electoral rights of citizens.
To recall, on December 9 in Armenia there will be extraordinary parliamentary elections, for the participation in which the CEC registered 11 political parties and blocs. These are the "My Step" bloc, the Prosperous Armenia party, the National Progress Party, the Christian-National Renaissance, the Sasna Tsrer All-Armenian party, the ''Orinats Yerkir'' party, the ''We'' Party, the ARF Dashnaktsutyun party, ''Enlightened Armenia ", Republican Party of Armenia, Social Democratic Party" Citizen Decision ".
