ArmInfo. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia ascertains whether there are Armenians or citizens of Armenia among those affected by the earthquake in Iran. The spokesperson for the RA Foreign Ministry Anna Naghdalyan informed this in an interview with ArmInfo correspondent.
To note, more than 550 people were affected by an earthquake in the province of Kermanshah in western Iran. An earthquake of magnitude 6.3 occurred in the region of the Iran-Iraq border. According to seismologists, the tremors were recorded at 16.37pm local time. The epicenter was located 150 kilometers northeast of Baghdad; the center was located at a depth of 40 kilometers. In addition, four aftershocks occurred after the earthquake, two of which were a magnitude 4, the others - 5.2 and 4.1 points. According to the TV channel Rudaw, in the territory of Iraqi Kurdistan, one person died, 43 more suffered. In the affected area there are 23 rescue teams.
