It was also assigned the functions of certification of Russian-made aircraft, but at the end of 2015, the Russian government transferred these functions to other departments. The new body is expected to share data on incidents and incidents with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), equip commissions of inquiry with necessary equipment, train investigators, issue safety recommendations, and effectively use technical and financial resources to investigate incidents and accident occurrence.
