ArmInfo. We are going to enter the parliament in order to defend the ideas of the velvet revolution, prevent the return of the old regime and revive the cultural policy in Armenia. This was stated on November 15 at a press conference by the head of the Christian-National Revival party, political scientist Levon Shirinyan.
He noted that during the campaign, representatives of the party will visit the regions of Armenia in order to familiarize themselves with the most pressing problems and draw up a plan for solving them. "We are the party of the whole people - peasants, workers, scientists, that is, for all citizens of Armenia. Officially, the campaign begins on November 26, but we have already started to represent our party through press conferences and interviews, so that the population of the country will know what we are And we already have quite a few voters who understand and value our ideas. I want to emphasize that we are an alternative to the government, and now we should not divide everyone into opposition and power ", Shirinyan stressed, noting that if the ''CNR'' is passed to the parliament, it will direct the government if it goes astray and protect the ideas of the velvet revolution.
According to him, the ideal for the country will be a strong parliament and moderate power of the Prime Minister. "It is necessary to form such a parliament where the right, left and centrists will be, not the government and the opposition. We want to break the vicious circle that was in Armenia before and reject such phenomena as giving out electoral bribes, employment of relatives to the authorities. We believe that this should be abandoned. As for our economic program, we support a social market economy. We believe that in our country there should not be poor and oligarchs, and most of society should be rich. We are also in favor of the revival of the industrial sector ", the political scientist said.
He also said that the difference of the party he leads from others is that they want to promote the program of cultural civilization. Shirinyan noted that this program will lead to an increase in public awareness. "That is, we want to develop the cultural values of the country and revive the Armenian high culture," he said.
At the same time, the political scientist assured that for him and his team it would not be a tragedy if the CNR fails to pass to parliament. "However, I want to note that we will not stop our activities on this, we will continue to study the problems existing in society and create professional groups that will write programs to solve actual problems. In addition, we will begin to cooperate with the business sphere in order to achieve progress in the country's economy, "- said the analyst.
Shirinyan noted that educational staff, taxi drivers, representatives of culture whose talent was not appreciated, as well as people working in industry will become its main voters.
