This opinion was expressed by the head of the delegation of the European Union in Armenia, Ambassador Piotr Switsalski, on November 14, before signing a document between the Armenian government and European donors on financial support for the electoral processes in Armenia.
According to a European diplomat, the EU has supported the holding of democratic elections before. Today, European donors are full of hope that their efforts will be aimed at strengthening voters' confidence that their votes will not be lost. Addressing the voter, Ambassador Switalski urged voters not to sell votes, not to succumb to temptation and not to take bribes, and with the appropriate proposal - not to engage in controversy, but only to signal this to the Police. "I think after what happened in April-May of this year in Armenia, the people understood how important the democratic elections are for the future of the country. So, dear Armenians, do not fail," the diplomat said. At the same time, Piotr Switsalski expressed the hope that the new government of Armenia will be consistent in the matter of reforming the country's electoral legislation.
