ArmInfo. The UN Special Rapporteur on the right to organize peaceful actions and the formation of associations Clement Voule arrived in Armenia.
During the visit from November 7th to 16th, he will monitor the situation regarding the freedom to hold actions. Voule noted that Armenia is moving along the democratic path of development, which establishes preconditions for the full protection of human rights and freedoms, the rule of law and economic progress.
He also stressed that during the visit he intends to carry out monitoring on the basis of information from direct participants in peaceful actions and organizers of various associations. During the visit, he will visit not only Yerevan, but also in the regions, will hold meetings with representatives of the authorities, public and political circles, international organizations, diplomats. Following the visit, he will give a press conference. He will present a report on his visit to Armenia at the UN Human Rights Council 41st meeting, which will be held in June 2019.
