ArmInfo. At an extraordinary meeting on November 1, the National Assembly of Armenia did not elect the Prime Minister for the second time. For the only candidate in the person of Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan no one voted for, nor was it among those who voted in and against parliament, but 13 MPs voted abstained.
Thus, the NA of the current convocation will be dissolved by force of law. As expected, the presidential decree Armen Sarkissian will be published today.
Earlier today, Nikol Pashinyan announced the terms of holding early parliamentary elections, indicating, in particular, December 9.
Delivering a final speech, the Acting Prime Minister thanked the current convocation parliament for effective cooperation, especially highlighting the President of the National Assembly of Armenia, Ara Babloyan. He wished the political forces success in the upcoming elections.
