According to the statement of the RA NA President Ara Babloyan, spread yesterday, the elections will be held on the basis of the third part of Article 140 of the RA Constitutional Law "On Regulations of the National Assembly".
The "Tsarukyan Bloc", "Yelk" factions, as well as a number of MPs who left the Republican Party, offered Nikol Pashinyan's candidacy for the post of prime minister with the condition of repeated non-election. Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is the only candidate for the post of head of government. In case of non-election, the country's parliament will be dissolved by force of law, which is what the current authorities are seeking. In this case, special parliamentary elections will be announced, which are expected to take place on December 8-9.
