ArmInfo. In Armenia 40.9% of respondents consider it right to unite with Russia,. Director of the Gallup International Association office in Armenia Aram Navasardyan reported this on October 31 in Yerevan, presenting the results of a survey conducted from September 3 to 11 of this year.
According to him, to the question of who with Armenia today it would be right to unite another 30.1% answered that with no one. Meanwhile, 12.3% of respondents consider the right association with the EU, and another 7.7 - with the United States. It is noteworthy that 0.5% were in favor of unification with Turkey, implying reunification with Western Armenia.
It is noteworthy that Russia's position on this issue was seriously shaken, since in 2014-15 63% of respondents were in favor of unification with the Russian Federation, while the EU's position, on the contrary, strengthened by 6.2%, since in this period only 6% were in favor of unification with Europe of the respondents.
When asked in which direction the new authorities would direct the country's integration vector, 35.4% of respondents were convinced that Armenia would develop equal cooperation with all centers, 28.9% with Russia, 14.1% - the EU, 7.1% - the US. At the same time, when asked about which structure or country should ensure the security of Armenia, 40% of respondents noted that the RA itself should ensure its security, 39.7% - Russia, 9% - NATO, 3.9% - CSTO.
1106 respondents from across Armenia participated in the survey - 33% from Yerevan, 67% from provinces. The survey error was 3%.
