ArmInfo. The National Assembly of Armenia did not elect the only candidate for the post of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.on October 24 special meeting.
No one voted for his candidacy, 1MP votes against, 11 MPs abstained. 53 votes were needed for the election.
Pashinyan himself resigned on October 16, having directly voiced the main goal - to provoke the holding of early parliamentary elections by means of Rosaus parliament. According to the Constitution, a parliament can be dissolved if it does not elect a head of government twice. The last attempt will take place in a week.
