ArmInfo. After political changes in Armenia, the traditionally intensive Russian-Armenian dialogue at the highest and highest levels continued. This was stated in an interview with Izvestia by State Secretary, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Grigory Karasin, answering the question of how Russian-Armenian cooperation has changed after the change of leadership in Armenia.
"In a matter of months, there were three meetings of Russian President Vladimir Putin and two meetings of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Our leaders spoke several times by phone. We see the main political result of these contacts in confirming the immutability of the course towards further strengthening the Russian -Armenian allied relations, both in a bilateral format, and within the framework of common integration associations - the EAEU, CSTO, CIS, "said Karasin.
At the same time, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation added that, despite the preservation of certain internal political instability in Armenia, there is a systematic joint work on specific areas of cooperation. "The positive dynamics of mutual trade is eloquent - its growth in the first half of 2018 compared to the same period last year amounted to 23.4% - to $ 925.6 million," he concluded.
