ArmInfo. Armenian President Armen Sargsyan, who is on a working visit to the United States, visited an exhibition called "Armenia" in the New York Metropolitan Museum, dedicated to the Armenian cultural heritage and traditions.
According to the presidential press service, Sargsyan attached great importance to such exhibitions and expressed confidence that they will continue, representing the Armenian centuries-old history and rich cultural heritage in different parts of the world.
The President also met with the Chairman of the Carnegie Foundation in New York Vardan Grigoryan. Sargsyan highly appreciated the scientific, educational and humanitarian programs implemented by the Foundation. The meeting discussed the possibility of implementing joint programs with the Carnegie Foundation in Armenia. Speaking about the activities of the Foundation, Vardan Grigoryan said that they are ready to support initiatives and ideas that will contribute to the progress of Armenia. The interlocutors also exchanged thoughts on Armenia-Diaspora relations.
