As RA President's press office told ArmInfo, Sarkisian will take part in the annual award ceremony of the East-West Institute on October 3 in New York.
This year, Armen Sargsyan will be awarded the prize named after the co-founder of the Institute, the American diplomat John Edwin Mroz. In the past, this award was given to: 41st US President George W. Bush, former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl, former Czech President Vaclav Havel, former President of Finland, Nobel Peace Prize winner Marty Ahtisaari and others.
The East-West Institute was founded in 1980. It is an authoritative international body that deals with various initiatives, especially in the field of cybersecurity, preventive diplomacy, economic and regional security.
