ArmInfo. A wide range of issues Armenian-Russian agenda discussed by Prime Minister Nikol Nikol Pashinyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a short talk on fields of the CIS heads of state meeting in Dushanbe.
Thus, during a live broadcast on his Facebook page, Pashinyan said that in an interview with Putin, issues that had been discussed during previous meetings were also touched upon. The Prime Minister of Armenia reminded that after the previous meeting with Putin, he stated that it can be stated with confidence that the Armenian-Russian relations are at a really new high level, on which they have never been before. "Following this meeting with Putin, I'll allow myself to put on such wording and assessment - in fact, the so-called post-revolutionary, transitional period in Armenian-Russian relations can be considered complete. I can say that Putin and I have complete mutual understanding, although this and does not mean that we agree with each other on all issues. "Absolutely not." It just means that - as I already said at the meetings in Moscow - there are no unsolvable problems in our relations. A wonderful working atmosphere has been formed, where we can calmly discuss and reach any issue and reach agreements in an atmosphere of mutual respect, non-interference in each other's affairs and respect for sovereignty. Those issues on which we will not be able to agree now will be discussed in the future in the same atmosphere, "the Armenian Prime Minister noted.
Pashinyan also noted that his statements made on the eve of the meetings, especially with the Russian president, when he spoke about the sovereignty of Armenia and its independence, received a special reaction. "There are various comments on this issue. And this is viewed as something supernatural, saying that the Armenian leader at a meeting with the Russian president notes that relations should be based on mutual respect for each other's sovereignty and independence. But there's nothing supernatural about this. Our relations evolved precisely on this basis. I will say more, it was the Russian leader in Sochi who first raised this topic on the "fields" of the EEU summit, stressing that he fully respects the sovereignty of Armenia, and noting the importance of principle in the construction of bilateral relations, "said the Prime Minister of Armenia.
Pashinyan stressed that time has demonstrated the truthfulness of Putin's assurances that Moscow respects Armenia and its sovereignty. At the same time, the head of government stressed that he considers adherence to this principle, which will ensure the natural development of Armenian-Russian cooperation, to be an important achievement in bilateral relations.
