ArmInfo. Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan held a meeting with the UN Special Representative for Syria Staffan de Mistura. As the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry told ArmInfo, the parties discussed in detail the processes in Syria, exchanged views on the humanitarian situation in the country, as well as possible steps to improve the situation.
Mnatsakanyan stressed that Armenia repeatedly expressed its serious concern about the crisis in Syria and the security of Syrian Armenians. He stressed that Armenia is ready to continue humanitarian assistance to Syria aimed at resolving the immediate needs of Syrian Armenians.
To recall Armenia announced its intention to send to Syria a humanitarian mission consisting of about 100 military experts - doctors, sappers and personnel to ensure their safety. The deadlines for sending depend on the completion of the preparation of the legal framework for deployment and technical assistance.
