ArmInfo.Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan will leave for Geneva on September 12. Armenian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Tigran Balayan told at a briefing in Yerevan on September 12.
According to Balayan, in Geneva Mnatsakanyan will attend the 39th session of the Human Rights Council and deliver a speech at the conference dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the convention on the prevention of genocide adopted in 1948.
He recalled the importance that Armenia attaches to this issue. Balayan also said that next week Mnatsakanyan will leave for Stepanakert and hold a meeting with the leadership of the country, and at the end of September he will visit New York, where he will take part in the session of the UN General Assembly.
A Spokesman for the Armenian Foreign Ministry also informed that Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Armen Papikyan will leave for China on September 13-17 to attend regular inter-MFA consultations.
